Rochon was raised in her home in the Los Angeles suburb of Torrance, her parents being Zelma, a nurse practitioner, and Samuel Staples, a business proprietor and graphic artist. Cerritos High School in Cerritos California is where she graduated from high school in 1982. She graduated in 1986 from California State University Dominguez Hill (CSUDH) with the degree of Bachelor's in Broadcast Journalism. She also majored in Theatre and Sociology. Rochon was the featured presenter at CSUDH's College of Arts and Humanities commencement ceremony in 2016.

Heather Storm is an award-winning producer, host and travel writer. Being a lover of cars she was also a host for Garage Squad at Discovery MotorTrend Network. Heather is the co-creator as well as host for the web-based travel program, Drive Yourself Local, where she explores America with her classic 1965 Ford Mustang sharing local slices of the small-town life. Ullerup was seen as Julia Brynn for the first appearance in Battlestar Galactica: The Remake which aired in 2006 Sci Fi Channel. Ullerup performed the role of Ashley Magnus for the first season as well as the second one on Sanctuary prior to her character being created. Fans were enraged by the departure of her character, and many wanted to see her return in the next shows. The show ended in 2012, but not before an intense discussion. In 2016, Ullerup was cast as Bree O'Brien in Chesapeake Shores. Ullerup appeared as Maggie Thomas as the estranged ex-wife of Michael Thomas in Asteroid: Final Impact. From 2016 Ullerup has been playing a regular character as Dale Travers in Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered films series.
